Let’s begin with, it is an absolute shocker that Winnipeg hasn’t been included… (wee plug for my home town there).

Seriously though, besides the fact that this is where Nic n Cher reside, it turns out there are other reasons why you should visit Glasgow!

According to Lonely Planet, pan-fried scallops, James McAvoy, Clyde cruises and Hampden park are all reasons to visit our great city. I may not be a leading Travel Publication, but I thought I’d have a crack at it:

• Bunker
• Butterfly & the Pig
• Moskito bar
• the Blue Dog

Oh whoops, wrong list…

• The shopping?!
• Nightlife - especially the West End and Merchant City
• Open bus tours (great first dates…. I’ve heard)
• Weegie chat - it’ll always keep you on your toes
• Festivals and Events - Commonwealth Games 2014 anyone?
• The people!

Um, I knew there was a reason, I came here as a tourist 5 years ago and am still hanging about…
