Launching a New Website & Breaking the Rules

Is this industry there really is nothing more exciting than launching a new website which is fully loaded with all the new toys.

Today for the first time ever, Nic n Cher are going to break our unwritten rule of not blogging or passing comment or opinion about the company we work for full time.

The good reason for our rule breaking is because today saw us launching our brand new company website, it really doesn’t get much better than that.

We have both been working for moneyQuest for over six years each (yes we have been working together for that long) and this is the first time ever we have launched a full redesign of the main company website. It was long overdue BTW.

The new site is a full CMS driven website with some excellent filtering capabilities, allowing us to invite all potential mortgage and life insurance customers onto the site. Our customers can now benefit from some great up to date financial news and downloads, some very sexy mortgage and insurance forms and first class mortgage guides. It really is a nice site, if i do say so myself.

With our new lightbox form technology and clean uncluttered design we are sure this new site is a winner in the UK mortgage and remortgage market.

The days events:

The launch was planned to go ahead at 10.30am, so we were poised over the F5 button at 10.29am, then the impatient repeated pressing of the refresh button started. It was not until 10.42am that the full site was overlaid and responding. There was Champagne, party poppers, streamers and cakes. It was a real launch party… and the double whammy was it was also Cher’s birthday today.

I have to say the whole process was pretty seemless, to our surprise, and the day went well with minimal fixes required throughout the day. Within the team there was a great sense of achievement, (there are six of us). It really did make the last 6 months worthwhile.
